It looks like Research in Motion has updated Yahoo! Instant Messenger for BlackBerry along with the recent updates to Google Talk and MSN Messenger.
YIM for BlackBerry is now up to version 2.1.33. There is no change log to speak and I don’t use YIM so I can’t tell you what changes have been made.
You can download Yahoo! Instant Messenger for BlackBerry here, so, if you are a user and notice something different, tell us about it in the comments.
Though the actual experience will vary by provider, some improvements may include:
Enhanced integration with email accounts: messages marked on the BlackBerry device as ‘read’ ‘deleted’ or ’sent’ are automatically updated online/in the user’s mailbox.
Premium subscription waived: some mail providers who require a premium subscription for wireless access to mail will waive it for BlackBerry subscribers.
Instant messaging communities: the familiar features of the desktop instant messaging experience, including login management, contact management, simultaneous conversations and even multi-user chats and emoticons are carried over wirelessly into the BlackBerry experience.
