Salomondrin has posted a pretty decent video of the BlackBerry 9670 Clamshell, code name, Oxford. It is a pretty slick looking device… if this were 2001. All it needs is the slide out antenna. Needless to say I still don’t like it, however, that is based on personal taste. Something tells me that the Clamshell might do pretty well once released.

Not a fan of it, but do like the slight peek at the browser. Now if only we can see it getting some data and what speed it has. Wondering if this means we have some kind of hope to have a not quite 6.0, but still newer sw for current berries. Like the task manager/cpu usage screen for sure. Wish they had shown if you can close things from there. Thought this was touch also though?
I know I’m in the minority, but I like it! I do get why people don’t like clamshells for a smartphone though, and I guess since I am in the minority it may not be around long.
I like it too, so you might be in the minority but you’re not alone. I think the design is great, and I think that the design is safer for the device, correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t like my phones calling people randomly, or my screen getting scratch by things in my pocket, and I believe that the original design is my susceptible to these dilemmas. I wish it was touch screen like the new slider and also CDMA/GSM based like the storm since I have AT&T, but whatever I can always migrate to Verizon, I’ve been off contract before Cingular became AT&T.
