The BlackBerry 8707v hasn’t been officially announced yet but here is more evidence that it’s arrival really is imminent.
Russell Shaw from BBHub has found a BlackBerry Knowledge Base Article titled 8707v does not support BlackBerry services when used for dial-up networking.
The BlackBerry 8707vTM can be used as an external modem to connect a laptop computer to the Internet. When providing a dial-up network connection, the BlackBerry handheld cannot support other BlackBerry services (for example, email reconciliation or calendar synchronization).
Take a look at http://www.blackberry8707.com, but you need to speak german. The 8707v will be launched next Monday at a party in Frankfurt, Germany.
Thanks for the tip. I will have to write a post about this…
