BlackBerry Debuts In China By Months End

We’ve known of for a few months that the BlackBerry was going to officially go to China, however, now we now when. The BlackBerry 8700g will hit the largest country on the planet before the end of the month.

“China Mobile will have exclusive rights to sell the new BlackBerry model, along with its current BlackBerry services, in China. We have already received an order for 10,000 of the handsets from China Mobile,” TCL Communications public relations department official, Cheng Yanyan, said.

BlackBerry Pearl and BlackBerry 8700g now available in Nigeria

MTN Nigeria and Research In Motion today announced the launch of the BlackBerry Enterprise Solution, offering customers the BlackBerry Pearl and BlackBerry 8700g smartphones for the first time in Nigeria.

MTN Nigeria is initially offering the two new handsets along with the BlackBerry® Enterprise Server software, which tightly integrates with Microsoft® Exchange, Novell® GroupWise® and IBM Lotus® Domino® and works with existing enterprise systems, to enable secure, push-based wireless access to email and other corporate data. The BlackBerry 8700g features a sleek design, full QWERTY keyboard and provides exceptional performance together with an intuitive user experience. The BlackBerry Pearl, one of the smallest and lightest smartphones in the world, stands out for its elegant looks, camera and multimedia capabilities.

BlackBerry lands in Norway

Nordic telecommunications provider TrigCom, along with Research in Motion today announced that the BlackBerry is finally coming to Norway.

TrigCom will initially offer BlackBerry service on the BlackBerry 8700g handset, providing support for email, phone, text messaging, Internet, organizer and corporate data applications. The BlackBerry 8700g will operate on Trigcoms GSM/GPRS and EDGE networks.

This is a great day for Trigcom and for our customers. As the first mobile carrier to offer BlackBerry in Norway, we are pleased to be working with RIM to deliver this solution to our customers. Many customers have been waiting for the opportunity to buy BlackBerry in Norway and we have already seen great interest among a diverse range of Norwegian companies. BlackBerry 8700g launched in Bahrain

Research in Motion, Batelco, and Emitac Mobile Solutions recently launched the BlackBerry 8700g in Bahrain.

“BlackBerry is the must-have business tool for mobile email and communications. Business users can never underestimate the importance of staying in touch while on the go. BlackBerry can help businesses outperform their competition by increasing user productivity and efficiency, and enhancing customer service”, said Batelco corporate affairs general manager Ahmed Al Janahi.

Optus Offers UMTS-enabled BlackBerry 8707g in Australia

Optus and Research in Motion recently announced the availability of the UTMS-enabled BlackBerry 8700g in Austrailia.

Together with Optus’ UMTS network, the BlackBerry 8707g allows users to simultaneously send and receive email, browse the Internet and use other applications while speaking on the phone, even while the handset is being used as a tethered modem.
