I know that an awful lot of BlackBerry users have been waiting an awfully long time for the day that they would be able to control their SlingBox from their BlackBerry devices to arrive and I am happy to report that this day is now actually here… Sort of…
The SlingPlayer Mobile Public Beta for BlackBerry is now a available for download. I say that the day many BlackBerry users is here sort of becasue it is only available to GSM BlackBerry devices at this time.
I certainly hope that SlingMedia is working on a SlingPlayer Mobile client for the BlackBerry Storm. Not doing so should simply be a crime…

You would wonder if they were actually working on a Blackberry Storm version since you cannot use Sling Player Mobile on any Verizon Blackberry. I know you are all shocked, as I am, that Verizon doesn’t allow this. They brag about their 3G network, and do not include WiFi on their phones, and restrict the things you can do on their phones/network.
Frustrating….
That does suck.
I’m getting sick and tired of Verizon being the last ot the party all the time. I have an office of 5 phones. They wont allow Wifi in the phones, and now now slingbox? I will count down the days until my contract(s) end with this company.
