It’s no big secret that I am not a big fan of the upcoming BlackBerry 9670 clamshell, nor has the device grown on me since we first stared hearing about it back in the Spring. The clamshell redux is coming however it and is rumored to have been branded the BlackBerry Style.
I am sure some people will love the BlackBerry Style, but, I clearly won’t be one of them…

Nor am I. With the Torch being a very an attractive looking device, you would be curiuos to see why they would offer such a “clunker.” One thing I personally feel is that BlackBerries have always had a certain appeal due to their unique shape, color etc etc. I would probably make fun of anyone who has this phone and won’t be able to take them serious. They say it’s a BB, but it looks far from it. More like an actual clam.
I with you Teddy. Blackberries have always had a classic look which is why it so baffling that RIM, if going to depart from the classic look, would go with this.
If you are going to make a BlackBerry that doesn’t look like a BlackBerry, go with what the industry is trending to… Big over sized handsets with huge screens. Give me a something like an Epic 4G with the screen the size of a Droid X.

How is this worse than the Pearl, the ugliest thing RIM ever created? If they release it in several different colors it will do just fine. If there REALLY smart they’d put some media keys and an LCD on the outer shell.
