For the second time this year as many as 50% of all BlackBerry users on all North American carriers are experiencing an outage. More specifically, they are experiencing a BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) outage.
T-Mobile and AT&T have confirmed that their BlackBerry users are affected and, although we haven’t had a confirmation from the other carriers, dozens of BlackBerry users on Sprint, Verizon, and even Alltell are reporting that they aren’t getting their email.
It hasn’t been officially determined if the BlackBerry outage is on the side of the carriers or RIM. The fact, however, that all carriers seem to be affected would lead one to speculate that the issue is with RIM. This doesn’t bode well because when this happened, not even five months ago, RIM said that it wouldn’t happen again.
All my e-mail is working out just fine
No e-mail since 6:00 A.M. here in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX. Still getting SMS alerts.
I had BIS email outage as well (on Rogers Wireless). It is now 7:30pm here in Toronto and I just started getting a lot of my yahoo/gmail emails. This outage didn’t affect my BES emails.
BB email has been slow. Just got a burst of afternoon mail at around 7:45 tonight. Luckly the iPhone is on order.
This outage is outrageous

Kudos to “hellno” for some entertaining posts…
AT&T was out till 6:15pm on Friday. Weird thing was, I could send but not receive e-mails. Get your act together RIM, do what you need to do to grow your infrastructure to meet the demands of your new customers.
i’ve been out over 24 hours. haven’t seen any other complaints from thursday night through, though.
I’m still getting weird system messages as of Saturday night and Sunday morning.
On ATT wireless – been out (BIS) all weekend.
Sunday 8PM eastern…still out…grrrrr
