One of the big disappointments when the BlackBerry Pearl was first launched was that you couldn’t get any BlackBerry accessories for it when it first came out. This is not the case with the BlackBerry 8800. As a matter of fact, you can get BlackBerry 8800 accessories now and the BlackBerry 8800 doesn’t go on sale for at least another week.
Like it’s smaller cousin, the BlackBerry 8800 doesn’t come with a holster in the box. Don’t worry, however, because you can order a BlackBerry 8800 leather swivel case from the official BlackBerry Accessories store, ShopBlackBerry.com. There you will find the BlackBerry 8800 leather swivel case in several different colors as well as a bunch of other BlackBerry accessories like spare batteries, Bluetooth headsets, car chargers, and more.
Funny how the description of many of them are for the 8100
I don’t know why people keep saying that it’s not coming with a holster. The offical site and other sites say it does come with a holster.
I recently purchased a bb 8800 and found the holster to be bulkier than the device itself. It was quite disappointing since the device is so slim.
I decided to purchase a case from this site http://www.gadgetcase.ca. i found that their case was slim and kept the device looking smaller than it is. I purchased the pearl case for my girlfiend from the same company and she is happy with it too.
Thanks for the lead Bill. I thought I’d check out your suggested link and bought the 8800 case as well. I was trying to decide between gadgetcase and gizmoskin (a site I found during a search), but decided to go with gadgetcase because of the cost. I think the fact they had a picture of the case with the 8800 also helped. Well, just got it yesterday and I must say… it rocks! The quality is amazing and the leather is really soft and smooth. Highly recommended!
Guys I’m really confused by now I just want to know if this device (8800) comes with a holster or not if I purchases an unlocked package from Canada?
Bill,
The BlackBerry 8800 does come with a holster in the box. Nothing fancy, but it gets the job done.
