I just read an interesting post over on Switched titled 10 Ways BlackBerry Beats The iPhone. We’ve probably mentioned each of the 10 points over the years, but, its nice to see a not-so-BlackBerry-specific blog echoing the same sentiment.

“Like a child” having a temper tantrum TOM CONLON wrote a article trying to convince himself that he didn’t make the wrong choice by buying yesterdays technology in the Blackberry.
TOM CONLON’s is yet another desperate article using tired, old worthless and prior debunked reasons. It’s painfully obvious TOM CONLON is in the closet with his Blackberry but it’s obvious he too wants a iPhone. TOM CONLON knows Blackberry is not even close to being as advanced as the Apple iPhone. Reality is better than feeding fanboy’s debunked fiction.
LAME
Calm down dude… This clearly is an opinion. You don’t have to take it personally. Instead of calling the dudes names give 10 counter points as to why he is wrong.
The Rock is calm and not at all taking things personally as we are talking about smartphone’s silly. Just pointing out TOM CONLON’s “opinion” just for what it is.
Does the Rock enjoy talking in third person? An apology would be better for overreacting.
Thanks again for the post Rimarkable!
The Rock accepts Nick’s apology, but would like to remind him that Rimarkable is not a place for him to post his opinions or thoughts about fellow Rimarkable posters.
How about the camera flash? Zoom? Convenience keys? Instant (consumer) email.. native IM clients..
It is a lame comparison. First, it complain about AT&T limitation, not iPhone. Those items would not apply to other countries. There are trade off, not just black and white. Anyone can easily fine 10 great things better than BlackBerry but I won’t call BlackBerry being beaten.
To be honest, those things can be resolved if Apply willing to pump them up to the prioritize list. However, to some, those are not important.
P.S. BlackBerry runs background app feature is piece of crap. It always hangs and pause because of those damp background apps. I have to constantly close them manually and some can’t even be shut down or uninstalled. You either do it right or don’t do it at all. Sound like Microsoft to me.
I have a BB & almost upgraded to the original Storm, but passed , in part , due to issues with the browser & wifi.
Now,many months later, I’m eligible for a $99 Storm with service renewal. As a BB user, I tried to convince myself, like the author, that the BB is as good or better than the iPhone; but I couldn’t do it & have put on hold getting another phone.
RIM has a very difficult job in trying to replicate the iPhone experience. For me, if the iPhone comes to Verizon, its bye bye Blackberry.
People need to stop comparing iPhone to BlackBerry. They are two [almost] completely different devices. No matter how one compares them, there will be people who will find something wrong with that comparison. It is just worhtless. Let people decide which one is better after they have used both devices.
