What Blackberry Twitter Client Do You Use?

BlackBerry Twitter Clients

We’ve closed this poll and update with a new one containing almost twice as many BlackBerry Twitter Clients.  Check out the BlackBerry Twitter Client Redux…

As I mentioned here on RIMarkable a few weeks ago, I have absolutely become addicted to the social networking site Twitter. As it would turn out I am not alone in my fascination with Twitter as BlackBerry users are among the most active Tweeters of them all.

Over the passed few days I’ve been on a quest to find the best BlackBerry Twitter applications available so I asked Tweeters following @RIMarkable what BlackBerry Twitter clients they were using.   I figured that I should ask the same question here on the blog so I took their responses and created a poll.

BBTweet is worth checking out. Has some kinks to work out, but it has A LOT of promise.

TwitterBerry is currently, and, will probably continue to run away with this but SocialScope is the best Twitter client that you have listed up there and it is still in beta.

What about Vringo? Can’t beat twittering with your voice.

I’ve tried most of them, but the one I’ve found is the best for me is Pocketwit, as it incorporates easy to use finger-based navigation that is similar to Opera Mobile with other useful functionality such as camera and TwitPic integration. It is a little bit slow to load but once it’s up it’s great!

TwitterBerry is nice, but too buggy. It can’t handle audible notifications properly and thus, gets annoying when it provides false-positive alerts. Also, about 20% of the time, URLs fail to be acknowledged and thus, I need to power-cycle the BB to get that working. So, looking for another solution, as the former entry is too irksome.

I’ve been using TwitterBerry, but I’m looking for an alternative because it’s photo-upload feature is extremely buggy (ie. it doesn’t upload most of the time). I “subscribed” to SocialScope (shades of early Gmail, eh?) and hope to hear back. Tried Blackbird = blech. Tried Twibble = blech.

The most important feature for me is a reliable alert/vibration when a monitored friend adds a tweet. So far I have found no client where this is reliable. Any suggestions?

Do you know Tweeteev? Some people talk about it and it seems to be a great one… Not to say the best.

I recently discovered UberTwitter and although it’s still in Beta it’s a lovely upcoming little Twitter program and well worth a look. Nice interface and the icon fits much better with the new Blackberry OS than TwitterBerry’s big fat “t”, also supports GPS tagging and twitpics.

Ubbertwitter should be on the list, much better than twitterberry. I’ve used both.

When I created this Poll, UberTwitter and a few other clients didn’t exist. I think that it may be time to update the poll…

Yes, UberTwitter… any bloody day! Although I have heard SocialScope is revolutionary.
