Verizon Offering Push To Talk Free To BlackBerry Tour Users

April 30, 2010 by Robb Dunewood 1 Comment

An interesting email went out to Verizon BlackBerry Tour users letting them know that they can get Push to Talk  for free on BlackBerry Tour 9630 devices.

Email:

We’re excited to announce that the BlackBerry Tour you are currently using can NOW be updated with the Push to Talk software. Add Push to Talk on the BlackBerry Tour FREE for the life of your contract.*

Start conversations with the push of a button. Connect instantly with family and friends or groups and enjoy the reliability for your regular voice calls that you expect from the Verizon Wireless network. Increase productivity with FREE Push to Talk service.*

All it takes is a simple software upgrade to enable Push to Talk on your BlackBerry Tour today.

Add Push to Talk on the BlackBerry Tour FREE for the life
of your contract.*

As you may already know, the BlackBold 9650, the replacement for the BlackBerry Tour, has been officially announced and is set to debut sometime next month.  The big question for me is will Verizon offer free Push to Talk on the upcoming BlackBerry Bold 9650 as well?

Thanks to all that sent this in…

What away to move inventory. I hope they dust off those units if they happen to sell any. Shoot, I gave mine away instead of selling it.
