Foursquare for BlackBerry Update Adds NFC Support

For all of you BlackBerry users that like to “Check-In” using Foursquare, you’ll be happy to know that Foursquare for BlackBerry has been updated to version 3.9 and now includes NFC support.

The new NFC feature will allow you to check-in to a venue simply by tapping your BlackBerry with an NFC chip.  Not sure where you can actually do this in the real world, but, here is what it will look like when you do…

Foursquare for BlackBerry updated to version 3.2.1

Foursquare for BlackBerry has just been updated to version 3.2.1.  Here is what is new…

  • Improved handling and performance with connections to all terminals BBM
  • Changed the appearance of screens and reports
  • Amendments on the acquisition of our location
  • The amendments take into account the device with a higher screen resolution
  • Minor fixes minor bugs and optimization

Foursquare for BlackBerry v3.1 with BlackBerry Messenger integration now available

A week ago Foursquare for BlackbBerry v3.0 hit the scene, but, without the BlackBerry Messenger integration that we saw when while in alpha.  Today, however, Foursquare for BlackBerry v3.1 has been released and BlackBerry Messenger integration is back.  The Foursquare for BlackBerry 3.1 change log indicates a few incremental updates to the user interface and application performance, so, you should probably download it even if you don’t care about the BBM integration.

Foursquare for BlackBerry v3.0 out of Alpha – BBM integration removed…

Foursquare for BlackBerry v3.0,  just an alpha release last week, is now available and ready for download.  BlackBerry Messenger integration, however, has been removed from the official release.  According to the Foursquare blog finishing touches are still being  put on BBM integration, so, Foursquare for BlackBerry v3.0 was released without it so that the Foursquare team could get all the other Foursquare for BlackBerry v3.0 features in your hands as soon as possible.

Foursquare For BlackBerry Updated To v1.9.9

Foursquare for BlackBerry has been updated to version 1.9.9.  This version is mostly a service upgrade offering improvements to battery life as well as connection logic for push notifications.  Foursquare for BlackBerry is a free BlackBerry download and you can pick it up in BlackBerry App World, or OTA by pointing your devices’s browser to http://www.foursquare.com/blackberry/beta.

Foursquare for BlackBerry 1.9.5 features:
