BlackBerry Bold

We just heard that the latest (official) AT&T BlackBerry Bold update, BlackBerry OS 4.6.0.508, will be available OTA as a wireless update as well as via BlackBerry Desktop Manager.  That latest release is being labeled “maintenance release” and the hope is that it will correct memory leaks and lags and generally improve performance.

Kevin Spacey Talks Twitter On Letterman…

BlackBerry Bold and BlackBerry Curve 8900We heard a rumor a week and a half ago that AT&T was going to cut the price of the BlackBerry Bold.  It would appear, however, that AT&T  not only cut the price of the Bold down to $199 after a $100 mail-in rebate.  The price of the BlackBerry Curve 8900 has also been reduced, now only $149.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate.

This probably won’t make all those folks who bought a Curve 8900 over the passed two weeks all that happy…

If you really want to get a good deal on a BlackBerry Curve 8900, bot Amazon and Newegg are offering them for $49.99…

Case-Mate has come up with a belt clip for the BlackBerry Bold that doubles as a rechargeable battery pack. The BlackBerry Bold 9000 Fuel effectively adds 50% to the life of your BlackBerry Bold battery life…

Extended Battery Life Features

  • Talk time: up to 7 additional hours beyond standard BlackBerry Bold battery life
  • Stand by time: up to 20 additional days beyond standard BlackBerry Bold battery life

Additional Features

  • Power on/off button makes more efficient usage of the fuel by only engaging when you decide to
  • Fully ratcheting 180-degree belt clip
  • Easy slide in/out access to your BlackBerry Bold

I am not really a belt clip kind of BlackBerry user, but, if I were this might be a cool way to get more use out of your Bold while out and about.
