QuickPull Now Supports BlackBerry Devices Running OS 5

December 2, 2009 by Robb Dunewood 4 Comments

We just heard that QuickPull, one of our favorite BlackBerry applications and one which simulates physically removing your battery from your device allowing it to reboot, now has support for BlackBerry devices running OS 5.

Jeff Mixon, owner and CEO of Steelthorn Software says “Although OS 5.0 is not yet widely available on existing BlackBerry devices, our customers are constantly on the bleeding edge of technology and are downloading unofficial beta releases of the newest BlackBerry OS. We are very happy to be able to continue to offer the latest and greatest apps to our customers.”

QuickPull comes in free and Pro versions, both available in the RIMarkable App Store.

Try doing that On a Storm or SureType BlackBerry…

QuickPull also lets you know when you are getting low on memory and will ask if you want to reboot before you go so low that you have no choice but to physically take the battery out.

Once upon a time QuickPull was an evil necessity for me…with the memory bump and better OS management of the memory (OS 5.0), it’s really not needed. Maybe if I download 100 more apps, but I don’t see that happening anytime soon.
