OS 7.1 for the Verizon BlackBerry Bold 9930 and Torch 9850 starts rolling out Jan. 10th

January 9, 2012 by Robb Dunewood 2 Comments

Word on the street is that BlackBerry OS 7.1 for the Verizon BlackBerry Bold 9930 and BlackBerry Torch 9850 will start rolling out tomorrow, Jan. 10th.

The big to do in the RIM’s latest version of the BlackBerry 7 operating system is Mobile HotSpot which will allow up to 5 devices to share your device’s mobile broadband connection to gain internet access.

Do you know if this will be free to use with your BlackBerry PlayBook or if you will still need to use Bluetooth to get it for free?

No, it isn’t free.  You have to add it to your plan for like an additional $20 or $30 per month.
