Verizon has officially released OS 5.0.0.591 for the BlackBerry Tour 9630. This update us currently available as a wireless update (OTA) only. We will update this post when a desktop update becomes available…
The update last week was for the Verison (OS) update 4.0 to 5.0 the platform was 4.2.0.272 – Now the update is for the platform only from .272 to .284 – I’m not sure what improvments were made with this update but it went through fine and saved all my settings. Took about 25-30 minutes.

ahh thanks missed that minor detail
Its probably to fix the bug that killed every VZW BB including mine that updated with the build last week.
