mobilis, a public mobile operator in Algeria, Alcatel-Lucent and Research In Motion (RIM)(NASDAQ: RIMM; today announced the launch of the BlackBerry® wireless solution in Algeria. Using a BlackBerry smartphone, mobilis customers will be able to wirelessly send and receive emails, make phone calls, browse the Internet, send text messages and access corporate and lifestyle applications when on the move.

    Hello,
    I recently visited Algeria and to ovoid roaming cost, I used Mobilis sim in my Blackberry phone however, I was not able to set up my blackberry to receive emails from Gmail (without subscribing to the blackberry package as I was staying only few days in ALgeria) can you please help as I will be going back soon. thank you.
