Interactive BlackBerry Storm User Guide

November 10, 2008 by Robb Dunewood 20 Comments

Research in Motion has put up an interactive BlackBerry Smartphone User Guide for the BlackBerry Storm.  You will find information about Device Setup, The Basics, Using Your Device, and Advanced Services.  The really cool thing (at first) is that you can actually turn the pages like you would will reading a magazine or a book.  There are standard next and back buttons as well.  The interactive page turning gets old very quickly, but, like I said, is really cool at first.

You can check it out here…

Is it possible to get the wallpaper that’s used in the Storm ads?
It’s the flash of lightning in the night sky

    Is so, how?

I want to send e mail to a group in my contact list without entering each one. I have over 100 contacts in one group and to manually enter each one into a new contact group is to time consuming.

Tim- That means that your wireless connection is turned off. Go to Manage Connections and click on Mobile Network.

My Blackberry Storm keeps going into a mode where the screen turns white and stays that way for about 3 minutes. Then it does a sercuity check. Is there anyway to schedule this? It happens at least 6 times a day. When its in this mode you can’t use the phone, a big problem.

Go To Messages –> Options –> Email Settings and set Use Auto Signature to no…

I am not sure what username in email setup that you are referring to.

I cannot use my blackberry camera. When I start it, the message on the phone says “could not start the camera. Close other applications and try opening the camera again”. I am not sure of what I should do…which applications to close…because I cannot find out which application is being mentioned. Can you give me a clue as to which applications I should check and close?
