RIMarkable readers, I need your help. I am looking for a really good BlackBerry case, or skin as some would call it, for my BlackBerry 7130e. I have some special needs so not any old case will do.
I do not want anything with a belt clip as I always stick my BlackBerry into my pants pocket. I don’t want anything bulky either. If fact I am not sure that the perfect BlackBerry case for me would even be considered a case. It would be more like a skin that protects the screen and the edges of the BlackBerry from getting all scratched up while in my pocket.
If anyone has any suggestions on what I should take a look at, please leave a comment.

boxwave site makes flexiskins…they don’t have one for your model as of yet…but you can look at them and then decide if you want to suggest to them to make one for your model phone. I made a request already for you, maybe if more people see the need and tell them, they shall have one before you know it.

I too am searching for a case or skin for my 7130e for nearly the same reasons. I will be watching! Also, how do you use the phone as a modem? Does it drain the battery fast?

You have to sign up to the VZaccess plan which I beleive costs and additional $15 dollars per month. You don’t have to so much worry about draining your battery becasue the BlackBerry charges while connected to your USB cable which is required to use your 7130e as a modem.
I too am looking for a case for my 7130e. I know exactly what I want, but cannot find one with all of the following features:
Sleeper mode capable
Swivel clip that is fixed to the case (not spring loaded)
Capable of holding my bluetooth headset as well
Nite Ize is the only company that I have seen that has the capability to carry the headset along with the phone, but it does not have the sleeper mode.
Anyone seen this out there?

I kept looking after finding the rubber skin and then struck gold, a plastic case with clip. I can slip this in my pocket or carry it on the belt and cheap!

Tried a number of cases, but the best I found (and am using almost a year later) was bought on ebay. Soft leather with clip that pivots to permit the case to be worn in a horizontal or vertical position with a magnetic latch on the end (rather than on top). Don’t think the case is still being sold on ebay, but I know the seller still has units available (priced around $35 plus shipping). He can be found at mobilegear@gmail.com. Definitely worth a look. You won’t be disappointed.

My 7130e got soaked in liquid soap tonight. I do not know how to open the battery case so that i can dry it out. Someone please help. I have lots of information on this unit!
