Our friend Russell Shaw of BBHub has the inside track on a new patent application published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office by BlackBerry maker Research in Motion entitled “Automatic audio intensity adjustment.” To make a long story short, the new feature will automatically increase or decrease volume on the BlackBerry based on background noise.
