BlackBerry PlayBook OS Updated – Removes (DingleBerry) Root Vulnerability

If you own a BlackBerry PlayBook, you’ve probably heard by now that there is root kit has called DingleBerry has been released that allows you to gain elevated privileges on your device.

To address DingleBerry, or,  the elevation of privilege vunlnerability, as RIM refers to it, the company has released BlackBerry PlayBook OS v1.0.8.6067.

Most PlayBook owners should probably update to OS v1.0.8.6067 and can do so simply by clicking checking for software updates.  If you were planning, however, to DingleBerry your tablet, clearly, you’ll want to hold off.
