BlackBerry maker wins patent fight in Germany.

January 30, 2006 by Robb Dunewood Leave a Comment

BlackBerry maker, Research in Motion, won a patent dispute in court today, however, it was probably not the one that you care about.

Earlier today a court in Munich, Germany, threw out a suit filed by Luxembourg-based Inpro Licensing Sarl, which claimed to hold patents for sending data between BlackBerry devices and the Internet. U.S. based BlackBerry owners are hoping for a similar ruling Feb. 24th when U.S. District Judge James R. Spencer rules on whether or not an injunction barring the sale of BlackBerry devices and BlackBerry service is enforced.
