Seems our friends over at phonemag have some leaked information regarding the BlackBerry Bold and it’s estimated release date. The surprising news is that it will be available approximately around the same time for all the carriers (September), with AT&T getting first dibs on the device. Interestingly enough, they will all carry 3G services except for TMO, yet they seems to be charging $50 more (the others are charging $300). Time will tell if this information is accurate, but exciting news for CDMA users if it holds true.
WSJ article on the Blackberry Thunder
The Wall Street Journal published this AM that the BlackBerry Thunder will be released by Vodafone and Verizon exclusively, according to their sources. Anticipated release will be in the third quarter of this year. RIM had no comment on the matter. WSJ also mentions the report from BGR, which all of us were aware of earlier this week. Is BlackBerry trying to steal someone’s ‘Thunder’? The ‘no comment’ approach only generates more talk and speculation, which everyone seems to enjoy. So, with that being said, shall we begin speculating?

Verizon BlackBerry Curve Specs… No Rev. A?
While the excitement of the Curve on Verizon has been overwhelming, one specification in the features list stood out. It is not Rev. A upgradeable. That is correct (see features capture). Why? The Pearl carries Rev. A speeds. For those of you who
use your device for tethering, this may be an issue when deciding if you should purchase the Curve.
On another note, the Curve does carry an additional 32 MB of Flash memory over the Pearl model. For those of you carrying those large contact lists, bloated calendars, etc., some relief has been provided by the new Curve.
Sprint Store BlackBerry Curve Update
This shot was a capture from a cached search showing that the Sprint Store (which at one point had June 1 as the release date) updated it’s site with ‘no date’ on it’s page, however, added additional pictures, etc., as if it was going to launch soon. This leads me to believe that Sprint was all set to release the Curve, but for reasons unknown (…eh hem…EVDO issues) have pulled back the launch and reset the date until mid-June. We’ll keep you posted as we hear more…
Sprint BlackBerry Curve… Release Date?
Anticipating the rumored release of the Sprint Curve today, I just got off the phone with a representative who informed me that they will not be available until June (so they say…). While Sprint placed some ads out there in the Sunday papers this past weekend, a couple of weeks back I found on the Sprint Store site that the Curve would be released on June 1. Seems they’re sticking by the June time frame. Time will tell, but it’s not today…
