Telstra spokesman rod Bruem said that a new physical link for service between Telstra and Research in Motion has been established and work on the configuration of the data carriage over that link is underway.
There is a possibility that full service will be restored this afternoon, but due to international time frames and the degree of the co-ordination required, we have been conservative in our restoration estimates. We also anticipate that there is a backlog of emails which may take sometime to clear, but (we are) still targeting full service restoration by start of business Friday.
