We’ve been patiently waiting for a Picasa client for BlackBerry since the beginning of the year, however, rumors are floating around that the the plug on Picasa for BlackBerry has been pulled.
I would have to say that this is an unexpected turn of events, especially seeing how RIM showed a working pre-release of the client to everyone that would listen back at WES. I was hoping that Picasa for BlackBerry would not only allow you to upload your pictures, but to view your galleries as well. This is a shortcoming of the Flickr for BlackBerry client.
There has been, to my knowledge, no official announcement that Picasa for BlackBerry is dead, however, all the official pages about Picasa for BlackBerry are gone and receiving 404 errors.

I’ve been messing around with E*TRADE Mobile Pro since it was released last week and I have to say that it, thus far, appears to be a really cool application. It has a very good chance of making my next Must Have Free BlackBerry Downloads list.
If you have an E*TRADE account, Mobile Pro is something you need to just download. If you don’t, but, follow the market even a little bit, you should sign up an E*TRADE account and then download Mobile Pro.
E*TRADE Mobile Pro is an awesome application, especially for one that it is free. I have to admit, however, that in all of it’s awesomeness, it is a bit distracting too. The application itself is not distracting… Just the way that I, and I would gather many BlackBerry users, are using it.
I find myself constantly checking my positions and watchlists and the urge to fall into incredibly bad trading habits is pressing. I haven’t done anything stupid yet but I hope the the overwhelming need to check where I am subsides so that I can get some work done.

The FCC has approved the BlackBerry Bold allowing the device to be sold in the United States. We still aren’t sure when the Bold will be released by AT&T, but, there is nothing legally preventing them from doing so at this point. We are guessing that it won’t be until the iPhone madness dies down a bit.
