Another Round Of iPhone Or BlackBerry

I know that this is about the 1912th time that we’ve talked about the iPhone vs. the BlackBerry since the announcement of the iPhone SDK came out, however, big time websites keep bringing it up and since I love a good argument, we will do the same.

I do, however, want to take a bit of a different perspective this time around. I am not so much concerned with if the iPhone will squash the BlackBerry or the visa versa. What is really interesting is that every article about smartphones lately seems to be only about the BlackBerry, the iPhone, or both.

It is almost as if you don’t, in some form or fashion, have fruit in your name, you aren’t even worth adding to the debate. Have the iPhone and the BlackBerry separated themselves so far from the rest of the pack that the others aren’t even worth mentioning?

I Need A New Bluetooth Headset For My BlackBerry

OK RIMarkable readers. I need your opinions and reviews of bluetooth headsets. My old Plantronics Discovery 645 has served me well, however, the darn thing just won’t hold a charge any longer. It’s time to get something new. What is the best Bluetooth headset out there right now?

Drop us a comment and tell us what headsets you like and, more importantly, which ones you don’t like.

BlackBerry JDE Plug-in for Eclipse

Research in Motion recently announced that it has released a Java Development Environment plug-in for Eclipse, an open source integrated development environment that seems to be the rage for coders as of late.

BlackBerry developers, of course already had the ability to code directly against the BlackBerry JDE, however, creating a JDE plug-in for Eclipse will enable Eclipse developers to create applications for BlackBerry smartphones using using the familiar toolset found in Eclipse.

The BlackBerry JDE plug-in for Eclipse is immediately available for download and can be found here
