Salomondrin has a new video of the upcoming WebKit BlackBerry Browser, and, after watching it, I’d have to say that I am fairly impressed. When compared to the BlackBerry Browser found in the BlackBerry 9650, the new WebKit BlackBerry Browser appears to be light years beyond its predecessor. I’s still like to see RIM smooth out scrolling and transitions from landscape mode to portrait mode and back, however, all-in-all, the WebKit BlackBerry Browser looks pretty good.

Especially like the part about e-mails having normal HTML. Would love to have seen an example, but we know how that goes.
You clearly are easily impressed. Honestly… Do you really think that the web browsing that that you see in this video is as good as on the iPhone?
Am I easily impressed, maybe… That’s a matter of opinion. What I don’t do, however, is compare everything I see coming in a new BlackBerry or new BlackBerry OS to the iPhone.
If I compare the old BlackBerry Browser shown in this video to the new WebKit Browser, yes, I am impressed at the improvement. I will hold final judgement until I actually get to play with a device with BlackBerry 6 and the WebKit browser for myself, however, an acid score of 1, compared to, over 200 is impressive in my book.
Get out of here you iPhone rero.
