Your Favorite BlackBerry Apps Of 2008

by Robb Dunewood on December 23, 2008 · 19 comments

It’s been a big year for BlackBerry maker Research in Motion but an exciting one as well, especially over the passed several months with the release of all the new BlackBerry devices that have come out.

It has also been a big year for BlackBerry Software and Applications that have come out.  When I start to think just a few of my personal favorites such as Viigo, Phonetag, MySpace for BlackBerry, Nintaii, and many others, I realized that it would be way too easy to leave a really good BlackBerry App off of any type of top 5 or top 10 list.

That being said I figured that I should just ask you guys what your favorite BlackBerry Apps of 2008 are.  I am sure that there are a lot of new or soon to be new BlackBerry users that would really appreciate any tips good software to load their new BlackBerry devices up with.

Leave us a comment and let us know what your favorite BlackBerry Apps of 2008 are.

I’ll start the commenting off and say that PhoneTag is my favorite BlackBerry Application in 2008.

They need to smooth out the edges with it on the BlackBerry, however, as someone who gets dozens of voicemail messages every day, having them transcribed and sent to my BlackBerry as email is a god send.

If Phonetag weren’t so expensive it would make my list but I would have to say that my favorites are MySpace because all my friends are on it and Viigo because I can sync it up with my Google Reader account.

The Gmail application is kind of cool too because I have a several gmail accounts and don’t want them all coming in through BIS.

E-Trade Mobile Pro…

This isn’t probably the best financial app out, but it is pretty darn good and free.

Nothing really rocked my boat, but if I had to select, it would be Google Maps and Google Talk.

Someone referred me this application at http://www.berryfavorites.com (Favorites). I downloaded it from the App store, but I guess you can buy directly from their website or few other websites like Handango as well.

I was looking to save favorites within my Curve 8900, so I could use the phone more effectively specially while I am on the move. Its got a decent looking interface, you can customize and store all your regularly used favorite numbers, email address, websites and all the other installed applications.

What I found useful and interesting is, how quick it is and can save you lot of time. That would be one of my favorite application so far.
