Watch NBC TV On Your BlackBerry Storm

NBC TV I don’t know how long NBC has been streaming their television shows to mobile devices like the BlackBerry Storm but they’re doing it and it’s free.

Point the browser on your BlackBerry Storm to http://m.nbc.com/fullepisodes.shtml watch full episodes of popular NBC TV shows like 30 Rock, The Office, Heroes, Medium, and many more.

Lots of episodes – works fine. Video is pixelated, however. Is there any settings on my Storm to get a better quality, or is it just the quality of the stream?

Still pretty new to the Storm, so I’m learning more all the time.

This site has acctually been there for a while but as of about 2 or 3 weeks ago I started getting an error when I try and watch full episodes. The error message I get is:

HTTP Error 403: Forbidden
You are not authorized to view this page. Please try loading a different page.

I called Verizon and they were of no help. I also e-mailed NBC and didn’t get a response.

Has anyone else gotten this error? Does anyone know how to fix this?

I am using a Blackberry Storm.

Thanks

I have been enjoying nbc shows on my blackberry for months…until may 2nd. That’s when I started getting the ominous “forbidden” message. Verizon tech figures since it uses so much bandwidth space…that it’s been blocked. The voyager still gets it but tech figures it’ll be blocked there as well. Very disappointed.

Works fine on a Curve 8900, although its pixelated like someone else mentioned,. Plus it buffers a lot on edge. uh oh it just rebooted as I am typing this.

Did you get on with your phone or are you getting the same error message?

Got forbidden error also, I am on a Verizon storm w/.141 software using both Opera and BB Browser.. Maybe more research is needed PRIOR to posting articles that say “it works on the STORM” when it does not work on all of them!

Same error here on VZW, “error 403 (Forbidden).”

No, I have it working on my BlackBerry Storm. It is pixelated, but, playing just fine other than that.

For those of you who are getting the 403 Forbidden Error…Use your WAP browser. The standard BB Browser gives the 403 Error. Using the WAP browser allows for the videos to play.
Don’t have a WAP browser option? Sorry…Looks like you’re screwed at the moment.

The WAP browser push is ensbled on my BB, but I still cannot play the video. Any ideas?

@tamster
Which BlackBerry do you have?
What carrier?
Do you have an actual WAP Browser Icon?

As said above, using the WAP browser allowed me to watch the pixillated videos on my Bold with no problems.

Thanks, N8D. Using the WAP browser worked for me.

I have a BB Storm. Do I have a WAP Browser? If so, how do I change the options or set it up?

My blackberry storm apparently does not have a wap browser. I spent several hours with verizon and rim trying to do it but to no avail. After awhile I realized I knew more about the situation than they did. I was able to download the movie service but in the end, it too decided not to perform for the storm. This, of course, is aside from all the other problems the storm is encountering from freezing up when using the cameras or simply having a bad phone. Yes…the update is due any day now.

The NBC site looks a little different since the message started appearing.

One more. As y0u may know, the elusive upgrade fix is in. I accomplished the task two days ago and I must say….there are some positive changes but taking videos continues to freeze up the device at times. The ability to get nbc or the movie machine remains impossible and after a considerbly long talk with RIM about it, I conclude that it will never work on the blackberry storm. My guess is with the wi fi coming to storm 2…that device might get both.

Everytime I try something fun on my Storm it
seems it can not function on the Storm.
It is getting so frustrating.
I keep wondering why I even got this phone.
Does anyone else feel the same?
