Vonage Working On Mobile Apps For Smartphones

Vonage for BlackBerry

In response to a question asked by Twitter user @thatchman1 to Vonage’s official Twitter account,

“@Vonage_Voice I would LOVE to have a Vonage SIP client for my iPhone”,

@Vonage_Voice had this to say,

Hey @thatchman1. We plan to offer mobile applications that will allow customers to use Vonage on their mobile smartphones. Stay tuned

There are two things to note about this conversation. 1.  Vonage has an official Twitter account.  2.  Vonage’s reply said “mobile applications“  and “mobile smartphones” in the plural sense with an s, possibly meaning that more than just one mobile application is coming out on more devices than just the iPhone.

It’s amazing what you can find out on Twitter…

Although I think that a Vonage client would actually be kind of cool, it is probably too little too late to save the company.

Exactly what iPhone Rulz said. Too little too late. Skype (for one) has pasted vonage by BYE.

Mark the time and the date. I agree with both of you guys :)

I think Vonage’s stock price is down under 40 cents these days.

Well, Vonage stupid. Make the “Soft Phone” and cost more to use with limited minutes to use. Proven greedy people lose money when there is competition.

Vonage is going to be a pionner in this industry. Trust me, buy it at $1.40 and hold it for a year . You will 10x your investment. This company is gonna get bought out for at least $15 a share within 365 days.
