Verizon BlackBerry Tour Officially Announced

Verizon BlackBerry Tour

Truth be told, I am not sure that this qualifies as the “official Verizon BlackBerry Tour announcement”, which, I believe is coming tomorrow.  I guess Verizon figures that we all already know that the announcement is coming so posting a BlackBerry Tour teaser page for all of us blog about until the official announcement comes just adds to the buzz.

Yeah… They got to stay up until almost midnight just to see if they would put something up…

Not surprised at all. July is the month. Sprint also announced the sale of the Tour too. Should be interesting. I’m also happy that VZW agreed to trade my Storm in for the Tour. I had to extend my deal two years from the date I receive the phone, but I’m sure it will be well worth it.

Is the “Tour” better then the “storm”? If so why? I have the storm thinking of making the change…

I am excited about the Tour, but we shall see how good it is. I am concerned about the keyboard. I like the Curve keyboard better with the keys spaced apart. This is like the 8830 World Phone keyboard and I’ve typed on that phone, and the Bold as well, and I did not like it nearly as much.

I wish VZW would had gotten the 8900 Curve!

From early testing reports, this model supposedly has the best keyboard made on any device…not just BB. It’s a combo of the Bold and 8900.

I like the spaces between the keys. I have a feeling that I am going to miss that.
