So, if you were thinking that there just aren’t quite enough BlackBerry Twitter clients available, don’t fret, there is a new kid on the block.  TwiXtreme, from Xtreme Labs, has made it’s debut, and, though it is a bit rough around the edges (especially on the BlackBerry Storm), shows promise.

We are not ready to stop using Social Scope or even UberTwitter with the ads at this point, however, we will keep our eye on TwiXtreme to see how it progresses.

TwiXtreme is a free BlackBerry download and you can get it by pointing your device’s browser to http://www.twixtreme.com.

Not ready for the prime time yet. I’ll be sticking with UberTwitter.

The animation is kind of cool though.

The Twitter API is so easy to work with and Twitter is so popular and simple, there’s going to be a huge saturation for these types of apps.

Biggest issue is the inability to run in wide mode (landscape) the portrait keyboard on the storm is just not user friendly. I’ll keep it installed but wait for some revs to make it more StormFriendly.
