There have been a lot of rumors floating around that Sprint will be releasing the BlackBerry Curve 8330 on their network sometime next month and now that live Sprint BlackBerry Curve pictures are floating around, that rumor seems a bit more plausible. I have to admit, however, that I am still having a hard time imagining that Sprint may come out with the CDMA BlackBerry Curve before Verizon. It is kind of looking that way though…

If this thing comes out on Sprint a few days or even a couple of weeks before Verizon does its no big deal. It Verizon doesn’t plan to release it for months after Sprint does, I am switching to AT&T.
Verizon really needs to read your post about the when the Blackberry curve is coming out on there network.

I had Sprint service before and it wasn’t too bad but I had to switch due to fact I’d purchased a home (currently living in) that had no cell signal. That was 2 years ago. Does anyone know where Sprint compares against Verizon in coverage? I’m looking to get the CDMA Curve once release but hesitant about their coverage.
I seem to remember that with the 8830 the pics of the Sprint model leaked out first, but of course VZW beat them to the release. I also remember that with the CDMA Palm Treo 700 that Sprint leaked first, but VZW launched first.
You cannot judge which carrier will release first simply by which one leaks first. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if Sprint doesn’t leak these things intentionally to try to sway a few customers.
I’d say there is virtually zero chance that Sprint would get this model first. VZW is a far larger carrier, and far more important to RIM.
Bet on VZW being first.
Sprint will have the curve released on 4/20 according to a District Manager meeting agenda sheet I saw on the internal site website.

That’s a good one, bluehorseshoe. Unfortunately, Sprint is a carrier very much in distress, much moreso than any of the other major carriers in the US.
I feel bad for the Sprint employees…right now it’s a sinking ship.
I still say that VZW is almost assured to get this device first.
BTW, on Howard Forums, the person known as “liquid platinum” is saying that the VZW release will be mid April. “Liquid Platinum” has a great track record with VZW release info.
Now Sprint is coming out with the Blackberry Curve. It’s as if VERIZON’S new motto is “Someone’s got to be last, why not us?”
I work for Sprint and we will be launching the Blackberry curve on April 17th!
I don’t think anyone really knows, even the people at Sprint. I talked to someone today at a store and they said they won’t be getting the Curve until June. I called telesales and they said they would have the Curve for sale starting tomorrow (April 17th). I read on a forum that someone else called telesales tonight and was told the 20th and a 3rd person called and was told May. I have 6 lines with Sprint and if I can’t get a straight answer by the end of the week I will switch my service after 10 years with them!
i work for best buy and well be getting the curve in on april 16th. i know because ill be getting the first one we get in

correction..today (may 9th). I know because I just purchased one and one of the reps said it just came out on their website today.
I ordered one from Sprint yesterday they said was instock but the were only shipping to certain markets. I live close to Chicago.
