Four of the big North American GSM carriers wasted little time making their official announcements of the BlackBerry Bold 9700 coming right off the hills of the official announcement from Research in Motion. No official official release dates have been announced, however, all four carriers say that their branded version of the BlackBerry Bold 9700 will be available within weeks.
We don’t expect that it will be too long before Telus announces the BlackBerry Bold 9700, unless, of course, they are going the route that Verizon is going with not officially announcing the BlackBerry Storm2 9550. We will leave the Verizon Storm2 debacle for another post…
Research in Motion and Rogers today announced the availability of the BlackBerry Curve 8520. It will cost you $99.99 on any three-year combined data and voice service plan of $45 or more per month. Today the BlackBerry Curve 8520 is available from Rogers in Black, however, it will be available in violet in the coming weeks.

When carrier promotional materials start showing up for upcoming BlackBerry devices it is usually a telltale sign that the launch of the device is just around the corner. That being said, promotional materials for the Rogers BlackBerry Curve 8520 have started to show up in Rogers retail outlets.

Earlier this morning we heard that the Rogers BlackBerry Bold was going to be delayed again. Well, it turns out that this is only partly true. You are able to go and purchase the BlackBerry Bold on Rogers site, however, you might be SOL if you were hoping to run into a Rogers store and pick one up.
It would appear that the Rogers BlackBerry Bold release that was supposed to take place today, August 21st, is delayed… again. According to a BlackBerry News tipster, the Bold will be delayed until at least a week from today, August 28th.
This is really starting to get old.

CrackBerry.com got there hands on sales information for the Rogers BlackBerry Bold and to make a long story short, the darn thing costs way too much.
The Rogers BlackBerry Bold will set you back $399 with a 3-year contract. Existing BlackBerry may be willing to pay this amount, however, new potential BlackBerry users that were debating between the BlackBerry Bold and the iPhone have a about 200 reasons why the should go with shouldn’t go with the BlackBerry Bold.

Word on the street is that the Rogers will will launch the BlackBerry Bold up in Canada on July 15th. BlackBerry Cool reader RogersDude69 is reporting that Rogers is holding a series of BlackBerry Launch Events for business executives.
One could presume that this launch will be for a device that actually has been announced so we believe that it is a pretty good bet that the it will be the BlackBerry Bold.
