BlackBerry Desktop Software for Mac v2.1 is now officially available and ready for download. Mac users that own a BlackBerry PlayBook will definitely want to download this version.
BlackBerry Desktop Software for Mac v2.1 includes media sync support for the BlackBerry PlayBook. In addition to being able to drag and drop files directly to BlackBerry PlayBook over USB or Wi-Fi, you can now use Desktop Software for Mac to sync music, photos and videos with iTunes and iPhoto over USB. Download BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Mac v2.1
BlackBerry Desktop Software for Mac has just been updated to version 2.0.0.64. It still doesn’t give you all of the features that Destkop Manager for Windows does, however, it does include the following updates:
- Support for BlackBerry 6 devices
- Switching Devices Wizard
- Media Sync & WiFi Music Sync

BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Mac has received a small update which contains a variety of minor fixes and upgrades.
BlackBerry® Desktop Software for Mac version 1.0.3 provides support for the Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese languages, and includes a variety of fixes and improvements to the organizer data and music synchronization. I can think of no good reason, especially with the number of BlackBerry users that also us a Mac, why RIM has taken so long to come out with a Mac version of BlackBerry Desktop Manger. Granted, PocketMac for BlackBerry is, and, continues to be free for some time, it just isn’t the same thing.
