BlackBerry Curve 8330

Discontinued Verizon BlackBerry Devices

So, the rumors about the Verizon Blackberry Storm being discontinued are true and 3 of its buddies are being discontinued right along with it.  Like I said before, this really isn’t that big of a deal because most of these devices have been placed by newer devices.

Along with the BlackBerry Storm 9530, the BlackBerry 8830, Curve 8330, and Pearl Flip 8230 were also discontinued.

Verizon BlackBerry Curve 8330

Has Verizon stopped selling the BlackBerry Curve 8330?  The device no longer appears to be on the Verizon Wireless website.  All things must come to an end, however, we didn’t expect to end of the best selling BlackBerry model ever to be upon us.

Maybe it is just me, however, it seems like BlackBerry Curve 8330 advertising has picked up significantly today. I tend to watch for new advertising right before the release of new BlackBerrys and I have seen a lot more for the BlackBerry Curve 8330 today than what I normally do.

I am the first to admit that there is nothing scientific about my observations and they could be completely tainted by my anticipation of the BlackBerry Curve from Verizon.

Is it just me, or, are you guys noticing as well?

OK gang. This is either the first picture of the upcoming Verizon BlackBerry Curve that we’ve seen, or, a pretty decent Photoshop job. I’ll let you decide.

I am on the record, however, for saying that I cannot believe that Sprint, who is rumored to come out with their version of the BlackBerry Curve 8330 around mid April, will get this device before Verizon does. If the Sprint BlackBerry Curve rumors are right, Verizon has about 2 1/2 weeks to squeeze to get something out.

I’d be willing to bet that this is the first of many “leaked” shots of the Verizon BlackBerry Curve 8330 that will hit the blogosphere over the coming days.
