Usually BlackBerry Commercials feature some cool small business owner or a trendy individual using their BlackBerry to get business like things done. I’ve got to say that this is the first one I’ve seen featuring folks trying to hook up, or, as RIM calls it, flirting with each other.

There is no question that Research in Motion is doing everything they can to make the BlackBerry more popular with consumers. The currently running BBM commercials are in indication of that. It is good to know, however, that RIM isn’t ditching that date that brought them to the dance… Business users.
Say what you want about the iPhone and Android devices, but, when it comes to smartphones used in the corporation, the BlackBerry reigns supreme. The BlackBerry Platform video shows you a lot of reasons why that is, and, continues to be the case…

It looks like RIM wasn’t just putting up a single TV spot getting the word out about BBM. They’ve launched a full blown BBM marketing campaign with multiple commercials.

If you ask three BlackBerry users what they love most about the BlackBerry you are almost guaranteed that at least one of them will tell you BlackBerry Messenger. BBM is generally accepted as one of, if not, the best mobile IM clients of all time. Research in Motion knows this and it would appear that they are trying to get the word out.
