T-Mobile First Out Of The Gate In The UK With The BlackBerry Curve 8900

by Robb Dunewood on December 12, 2008 · 6 comments

T-Mobile UK, according to Mobile Industry Review, has announced that the BlackBerry Curve 8900 is available as of today.

We haven’t seen a press release or any mention on T-Mobile UK’s or RIM’s websites, however, it looks like the smallest full QWERTY keyboard BlackBerry ever is available a full week before anyone thought it would be.

We rarely get those type of surprises here in the States…

Any idea when T-Mobile will get this over here? I seen a demo unit when in Toronto last week and this thing is just a little bit bigger than my Blackberry Pearl which is on it’s last leg.

I need something small cause I still carry my iPod touch with me at all times…

I don’t know if this is true or not but I think I heard that the 8900 is coming out on T-Mobile first here in the U.S.

If it is coming out on AT&T then I will just get the Blackberry Flip… I am not switching to AT&T.

I find it amazing that the rest of the world is picking up Blackberry’s so much faster then here in the U S. First the BOLD, now the 8900! I have a feeling we won’t see this device till mid Jan-Feb09.

Hi. Just to let you know that the comment/release about T Mobile UK getting the 8900 first in the UK is not true. I spoke to them today and they have no date set to receive the phone. It’s not even on their list of coming soon. A real shame that this information was incorrect.
