Slacker And RIM Bring Internet Radio To The BlackBerry

by Robb Dunewood on September 15, 2008 · 5 comments

Last week at CTIA, Slacker announced that they will have a free Slacker Personal Radio application for the BlackBerry coming out in October.

As an avid internet radio junkie, I can honestly tell you that I would probably pay for a good Slacker BlackBerry client, however, the best part of this announcement was the part where they tell you that they Slacker Personal Radio BlackBerry application will be free.

I definitely am looking forward to this.

Slacker on RIM BB’s is HUGE, especially if RIM has found a way to handle 3G and make it friendlier on the battery. It’s more than obvious that the Blackberry is no longer the business device it once was, which IMO is a good thing.

I don’t think all the kinks has been cleaned up with it, I dowloaded the Slacker on to my BBBold9000 and as soon as I tried to sign on with my account it told me that it couldn’t connect to the server.
