RIMarkable Will Soon Have a New Look!

by Robb Dunewood on January 10, 2008 · 24 comments

Many, many RIMarkable readers have commented that our theme was out of date and need to be updated. I freely and admit that a fresh coat of paint is a year and a half or two over do, so, with that being said, we’ve decide to go ahead and give the RIMarkable a new look.

Now, we haven’t done anything responsible like going out and hiring a web designer to do a true makeover the right way, however, we did take a look at dozens of WordPress themes and have finally settled on one that didn’t completely break the site once applied.

We aren’t quite ready to unveil the new theme to the masses just yet, however, we though that we give you a sneak peek.

At least you got rid of the old BB’s at the top of the page. That alone is refreshing. :)

PS – Nice to see the Pearl in the picture at the top…

Looks great Robb, can’t wait to see it!

I believe sans serif fonts are highly preferred.

The picture at the top rotates. You will see several different models there with each refresh of the page.

Dorian,

I’d would be telling you the truth if I told you that I new what san serif fonts were. Probably all the more reason that I should have hired someone to create a theme for me.

@ Robb

Your ‘Arial’ font is vealot zealot locked down restricted bad. You should go with the unrestricted, world open free source type font ‘Times New Roman’. You’ve downgraded your site to a lower standard of typography that is not used in the open global standard world. Shame on you…sad sheep.

PS – Sorry, but I just couldn’t resist and had to see what it was like on the other side. I’m feeling sympathetic. :)

Robb,

Were you able to get http://www.POWDERPUFFarkable.com? it’s clear there are a few here which desperately need a alternative site that they can go to hide from the TRUTH and reality of vzw FUD, lies, crippling, greed, and arrogance with hearts, flowers, unicorns and rainbows. A place where grandstanding false info about vzw is followed up with vzw cheerleading. A place where rose colored glasses are a must. It would be a safe place where poor bluehorseshoe could go to try and once for all justify his downgrade from T-Mo to vzw to others which are just as confused as he is.

Robb,

PS the new look, looks very good. A nice upgrade to RIMarkable for ‘08.

I’ve got to ask.

What, in the world, does this post have to do with Verizon?

Nice update,

What theme is this that you are using?

It is the Neoclassical theme by Chris Pearson…

“I’ve got to ask. What, in the world, does this post have to do with Verizon?”

Me too was asking the same thing after reading:

bluehorseshoe:
“vealot zealot locked down restricted bad You should go with the unrestricted, world open free source type font ‘Times New Roman’. You’ve downgraded your site to a lower standard of typography that is not used in the open global standard world. Shame on you…sad sheep.”

If someone posted the comment “the sky is blue” bluehorseshoe’s response post to it would be “no it’s not, it’s verzion” Then again remember bluehorseshoe is one of the special ones who desperately needs that alternative site since every thread can only be able Pearls and vzw.

@ hellidiot…

You didn’t get it, not surprised. I’ll make it simple for you…

I…was…pretending…to…be…you.

Robb: you should establish a special section of the site where hellno and bluehorseshoe can fight it out all the time on GSM vs CDMA/Verizon…

I think now no matter what the subject is, those two will revive their debate:)

@ Thought

My argument isn’t who is better, it’s the same time and time again posts that hellno posts, the same crap over and over and over. If it means getting under his skin because he’s missing a chromosome and mentally challenged, then I’m all for it.

BTW…speaking of hellidiot, classic timing on the virus for the iPhone with the big Apple event coming up. Best part is that the trojan doesn’t do anything until it’s removed. At least my BB wears protection. LOL :)

Oh bluehorseshoe don’t you worry yourself little girl, your words mean even less to me than they do to anyone else, All here at RIMarkable are well aware of exactly the type of person you are.

Oh by the way since you don’t do your own research before grandstanding, with a little more searching you’ll find the “virus for the iPhone” is nothing to worry about for most, much like your ignorance.

On of these days you just might learn to stop thread crapping, stop grandstanding and to stop using RIMarkable as your toilet of ignorance, or you might never learn, you did downgrade to vzw after all.

@ hellidiot

Still doesn’t change the fact that you’re retarded. ‘Grandstanding’. LOL…you are such a fool. I just love picking on your sorry ass. Don’t know why, can’t explain it. It’s just fun.

BTW, were did you go to school (your grammar is terrible, which tells me more about you…)? Or you still getting picked up in those small yellow buses?

You’re right Robb…enough is enough, unless provoked. :) Besides, I think we all know who is the issue and why…or should I say I’m not the only one amused with hellno. I’ve never come across such a person with blinders on regarding technology.

I will attempt to ignore him, unless addressed. :)

It’s s touching to see bluehorseshoe use smiley faces and blaming others for his own poor behavior, it yet again shows much about the type of person bluehorseshoe really is.

Willful ignorance.
