Opera Mini 5 Beta

Opera Mini 5 Beta is now available for download and I’ve just installed it on my BlackBerry Storm.  All that I can say is…  Wow!

Opera Mini 5 Beta may be the best BlackBerry Storm browser that I have ever used…

I haven’t had the chance to test Opera Mini 5 Beta on any other BlackBerry devices, however, if you own a BlackBerry Storm, download this…

You can get Opera Mini 5 Beta OTA by pointing your device to http://m.opera.com/next.

Where the hell is the RSS feature? That’s a dealbreaker for me, because I rarely visit sites unless I know they’ve been updated. What’s weird is that it has the “Add RSS” link option, but no way to actually read them. I’m assuming this will be added on in the final release.

The site features the blackberry storm in big banner images, but when you point the storm to their site to download it, it tells you the phone hasn’t been approved as supported yet. Classy move, Opera.

It also completely ignores the click interface on the Storm. Any touch to the screen is as if you clicked the screen down. Totally breaks the interface expectations.

Actually, the Storm works fine. You are basically whining over nothing. Classy move, Josh.
