MetroPCS Launches BlackBerry Curve With Unlimited Everything For $50 Per Month

Metro PCS BlackBerry Curve

Just over a year ago we asked what you thought about a pre-paid BlackBerry plan. That post only had 5 comments so we thought not much.  Maybe we should have asked what you thought about an pre-paid unlimited BlackBerry Plan that costs half as much as anything Sprint is offering because this is exactly what MetroPCS is offering.

For $50 per month you can get yourself a BlackBerry Curve 8330 with unlimited talk, data, SMS, MMS, internet browsing, and BlackBerry Internet Service.  For an additional $10 per month you could add BES and this is all without having to sign a contract.

I imagine that other pre-paid carriers might start catching on once they how popular this will be.

Do you know if you could use a Sprint BlackBerry Curve on Metro? This guy in my dorm is selling his Curve, case and all for $50 because he just got that Nextel BlackBerry.

The only issue with MetroPCS is their limitations on leaving your geographic area. It’s just like Cricket Wireless, it’s cheap if you don’t ever travel or wander outside your “calling area.”
