Remember a little over a month ago John Mayer was able to get his hands on a BlackBerry Bold?
Well, it would appear that he has switched back to a BlackBerry Curve.
I wonder what made him change?

Interesting observation…however, I don’t know that it means much.
Sure, it could be that the Bold still had some glitches to be worked out…maybe RIM didn’t want the device out there being noticed yet…maybe RIM wanted Mayer using the Curve to market that device a little longer…
Or maybe Mayer has multiple BB’s and just happened to pick that one up that day…
Man is a pimp…multiple hot women, multiple BBs…multiple gold records…what can’t he do or have….and the dude is average looking at best…I should have been a musician…

I’m with Thought on this one… maybe he was going to be outside doing some backpacking or something where the Bold could get beat up a little… why not switch to his old curve for the day just in case? I don’t think that its ever a good practice to guess why someone does something… especially when you know nothing about that person.
I couldn’t care less what some loser musician, actor or fashion model loser is using for a phone.
Excellent pics I must say and also the fact that Blackberry Bold is a marvel wonder particularly the keypad is superb with extra aspects such as 624-Mhz Marvell Tavor PXA930 processor, 320-by-480 screens, HSDPA or EVDO networking, Wi-Fi, GPS, and support for up to 16GB MicroSD cards.
Blackberry is always become hot amongst the holly wood celebrities. John Mayer is one of those who previously using blackberry curve and after some time he has Blackberry bold.
I agree….maybe RIM gave it to him for Beta testing purposes to find those glitches….who knows! I want a BB Bold though!
It’s quite possible that he broke his Bold.
Perhaps he had the same issues we’ve been hearing about regarding overheating and shortened battery life.
Perhaps he didn’t like the 8800-ish keyboard, preferring the Curve’s instead.
Perhaps RIM paid him to tote around a Bold for a while to increase buzz, and he’s fulfilled his end of the contract.
Silly people the dude has like 8 Blackberry’s and a bunch of AT&T based phones. He just switched phones. All celebrities do that. They get gift baskets to promote phones, so they dont stay with a phone for a while. Whenever a new one comes out, celebs get em. So the photographer probably just caught him on the day he picked up his bold. He had the curve for a long time now, and since you cant just switch out SIMs with verizon, he probably hasn’t switch his number yet. Chances are, the bold is in his pocket. Or his big bulky backpack.
Perhaps you all have entirely to much time on your hands.
The guy is a fantastic guitar player and he is tatooed to perfection!
