It has been a good week and a heck of a passed three days for Research in Motion.
Fiscal year results that have almost doubled over the previous year especially when the iPhone has come on as strong as it has is impressive.
With the BlackBerry 9000 and maybe even a touch screen bearing BlackBerry coming out later this year, it will be exciting to see how RIM does this fiscal year.

When is the BlackBerry 9000 expected to come out?

We’ve heard as early as June but there are rumors that it has been postponed until August.
Is the general consensus that the 9xxx will boost profits? i.e. – should I jump on some RIM stock for short term?
I think that the 9000 is still far enough away that people aren’t going crazy over it yet. I am sure that it will do well when available, however, I am not getting that overwhelming sense of anticipation vibe like we did with the BlackBerry 8700 or the BlackBerry Curve.
Buy on the rumor…SELL on the news. Advice to live by in the world of trading.
