Indosat Launches BlackBerry Curve and BlackBerry 8800 in Indonesia

Indosat and Research in Motion yesterday introduced the BlackBerry Curve, and the BlackBerry 8800 to Indosat customers in Indonesia.

Our cooperation with RIM is part of our strategy and commitment to continuously enhance our service to customers,” said Mr. Guntur S.     Is Blackberry City, Den Pasar, Bali, the worst, most unprofessional outlet for Blackberry phones in the world – or just in Indonesia?
    I bought a new phone there – Storm 9500 touch screen – had to go back 3 times before it was set up properly..I’ve looked after it like a baby, it shld be in perfect working condition but it’s already useless – the touch screen freezes all the time, you can’t select the functions you want, can’t send sms’s or emails –
    BB City say it needs “servicing” and they want either 2 million rupiah (a third of wht it cost me new) to repair it (replace the LED screen they say) – or they will send it to Jakarta for a warranty covered service and I will get it back (maybe) in 2 months…

    no new phone, no replacement phone, no temporary phone while they fix it – no sorry, no explanation –

    that’s it………….who would buy a blackberry at all after this experience – let alone from such a bunch of duds – Blackberry City………..stay away from them….the phone’s just not that good anyway…..but who can pay that much and then just ditch it or buy another one…

    BLACKBERRY CITY, BALI – don’t go there…..blackberry phone…never again…mick ….

    Can anyone tell me WHO might actually take responsibility for a problem like this with a customer who has bought a phone – useless within 6 months?
    DOES BB STAND BEHIND ITS PRODUCT AT ALL – in Indonesia…?
