I Want My BlackBerry To Do What The Verizon MiFi 2200 Does

Verizon MiFi 2200After reading about the the upcoming Verizon MiFi 2200, a personal WiFi Hotspot that will run on Verizon’s EVDO data network, I opened up my laptop bag and pulled out all the things in it that use WiFi.  We’ve got, of course, my laptop, but, also my digital camera, a sony PSP, an iPod Touch , and a GameBoy.

I have a broadband connect card for my laptop ,but, I’ve wished for a long time that I could use it to get my other devices online.  Since I can tether my BlackBerry to my laptop pretty easily, I may just pick up the MiFi 2200 up when it comes out, especially if it costs under $100 like the rumors are suggesting.

I just wish I could actually use my BlackBerry to do what the the Verizon MiFi 2200 does…  I will, however, leave that for another post.

You might want to take a look at the Cradlepoint PHS300. It works like a charm.

I’m tired of hearing about cradlepoint when someone asks about the existence of a blackberry wifi hotspot app. This is NOT what we are looking for, stop trolling with adverts for cradlepoint. The people posting these questions ARE NOT LOOKING FOR THAT solution.

Actually the dude mentioned he had a broadband connect card for his laptop. If you have a cradelpoint he could use that card to give wifi to the laptop, ipod, blackberry and whatever else he wants. I just got one to turn my crappy usb dongle broadband att modem to a wifi. true its a little on the bulky side, but if you don’t want to switch carriers, sign a contract its a nice solution
