Canada based telecoms Telus and Bell are offering special holiday promotions on BlackBerry Pearls, which, you can get for free if you act before December 31st.

As always, free is relative, as you must sign up to a 3-year plan of $45 per month or more in order to qualify. In this case free really means $1620 over the course of the next 36 months.

This is still a pretty good deal if you were already interested in a BlackBerry Pearl and you want more than the $15 email and IM only plan currently offered by Telus.

Amazon has a heck of a deal going on Research in Motion’s latest and greatest device, the BlackBerry Curve, where they are paying customers $25.01, after rebates and and a new service plan, to take a BlackBerry Curve off of their hands.

We’ve seen Amazon offer these types of deals on BlackBerrys before, however, usually not so close to the launch of a device. One has to wonder if they are trying to unload as many BlackBerry Curves as they can before the iPhone, which, from what we’ve heard they will not carry, hits the streets.

I know that the Curve and the iPhone aren’t really supposed to be competitors, however, AT&T and Apple are about to start marketing the iPhone probably unlike any phone ever that has come before it and the BlackBerry Curve could get lost in the shuffle. AT&T still lists the BlackBerry Curve on their site for $200 bucks with a two year plan. Since, however, Amazon won’t carry the iPhone, they are making the BlackBerry Curve look as attractive as possible.

It looks like Amazon’s strategy of giving BlackBerry Pearls away wasn’t working well enough so now they are hiring you to do some light lifting for them. Take a T-Mobile BlackBerry Pearl out of an Amazon.com warehouse and they will pay you $75 bucks.

Truthfully, Amazon isn’t really going to hire you, but, they are running a T-Mobile BlackBerry Pearl promotion where you can get $400 in instant savings plus a $75 rebate that will put a month or so of service charges in your pocket.
