Hootsuite for BlackBerry

It was just over a month ago we let you know that HootSuite for BlackBerry was going into private beta and now that the beta is underway,  images of the application have made their way on to the web.  As those of you that use Hootsuite know, the application is much more than just a Twitter/Facebook client, but, more of a social media dashboard.  From the look of the screen shots, Hootsuite for BlackBerry will be as well.

Hootsuite for BlackBerry is still in closed beta, however, you can sign up here to try to get in one they open it up to more users.

LinkedIn for BlackBerry

I don’t know that I would call LinkedIn my favorite social network, however, it is certainly the most useful and it just got little better.  LinkedIn for BlackBerry version 1.2 has been released and it significantly improves performance as well as fixes other bugs.

We’ve just released an update focused on performance, battery life and resolving several issues our users were seeing with downloading connections. We made a number of changes to how we handle merging your address book with the BlackBerry Contacts application and other changes that should significantly reduce the battery life issues some users have reported.

You can download LinkedIn for BlackBerry 1.2 from http://m.linkedin.com/blackberry/download or pick it up on BlackBerry App World.

BlackBerry Traffi

I am still not 100% sure how RIM managed to create such an aesthetically pleasing application, however, that being said, BlackBerry Traffic Beta is now available to all in BlackBerry App World Test Center.

With lots of places to go, and people to see, planning to be where you need to be on time can be a challenge. Thanks to BlackBerry Traffic, you can easily plan to be where you need to be—on time.1 Get your estimated time of arrival (ETA), find out if a road is closed, or decide to take an alternate route, all ahead of time. Heading to a friend’s place? Simply grab their address from your BlackBerry contact list, get your ETA, then email or text it along with a preset message to avoid keeping them waiting and wondering when you’re going to arrive. Making – and keeping – plans just got a whole lot easier.

BlackBerry Traffic Beta is a free BlackBerry download and you can pick it up here.  If you decide to try it out, come back, leave us a comment, and tell us what you think.
