Facebook for BlackBerry 1.8 Now Available In BlackBerry App World

We heard rumors that Facebook for BlackBerry would get updated last week, however, it looks like we were a bit premature. That being said, Facebook for BlackBerry Smartphones 1.8.0.49 is now available to all in BlackBerry App World.

Some of the new features include:

Faster load times
Video uploading
Replaced BIS-E notifications with BlackBerry Push APIs

Downloaded it. Big deal. About the same thing for typical users.

The load times are so much faster than the previous version. Especially your friends list. While there were minimal visual changes, it’s definitely not the same.

In Options, double check to see if there is a check in the box for Facebook Notifications

two Facebook upgrades for BlackBerry in less then a week! I wonder what they missed on the first release that the later has now…

It’s crap! Ive lost all my notifications, even though it says it’s still on under options, it takes forever to load and I haven’t even tried any features becuase I’ve been too busy trying to uninstall the thing.

somebody has already developed a facebook app which includes chat, I got it from app world and was surprised by its features, Chat with Facebook, check it out – a fully functional facebook app.
