Did The Facebook Update Jack Up Facebook For BlackBerry?

Facebook Status Updates Not Refreshing

UPDATE 2:  The Problem appears to have been resolved…

UPDATE:  Facebook is aware of the issue and has this to say…

“We’re currently experiencing issues with our APIs, and as a result, some users may be unable to access the site from their devices at this time. These APIs are designed to make it possible for mobile partners to provide users with their respective Facebook applications.

We are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.”

Is is just me, or, have you noticed as well that since the Facebook update, Facebook for BlackBerry isn’t working properly?  For me Facebook for BlackBerry seems even slower than usual and Status Update Streams aren’t available.

    Ha. I agree with Kells. I only use it to post an update so it says Via Blackberry.Otherwise, it’s worthless.

    i hate it, like corey, i only use it to post something, i never open it to check feeds or something. and yes i am jealous of facebook on iphone.

    my desktop changed yesterday afternoon and last night around 10ish I can’t read any of the status updates and I can’t upload a picture. You have to use some email link to upload now.

    Since the new look on FB, I cant view any of the status updates etc on the bb app. :(

    After Facebook’s last update (v1.7.0.22) I have noticed the app is slow, sluggish, and buggy. In most cases, it takes the app forever to stream in the News Feed. It’s a little bit faster to stream in the Status Updates (when it works), but unfortunately there isn’t a way to make that the default view. And don’t get me started on how long it takes the app to load the Photos feed, you might as well do a hard reset.

    And what’s with the top menu bar taking almost a third of the screen size on my Bold at all times? Did the designer think this through?

    In general there is a whole bunch of problems, starting with interface design to application bugs. And it seems RIM is taking its time to fix all that, if in fact they are working on it.

    This would be a great time for a third party Facebook app to emerge. We have to admit that Facebook for Blackberry sucks big time! I won’t even bother showing any of my iPhone friends anything on Facebook via my Blackberry because it would be too embarrasing to let them see how lame it is. I love my Blackberry, but It totally makes my Blackberry seem less than it is. Time to find a new Facebook app, asap.

    Hey this started happening to mine also yesterday. It wouldn’t load any status updates at all, and I could not access any of the old ones

    In the blackberry app world there is an app called “Snaptu” which has facebook in it.
    It is a little bit slow, and it isn’t the greatest app in the world, but it seems to be working without any interruptions

    This just started happening to me when FB updated their site & IT SUCKS! I doubt I will be using it any time in the near future. Everything is slow with FB on the Bold 9000, I hate it with a passion.

    Only the notifications are working on my bb fb app. I’ve been trying all day to update it and figure out what was wrong. I was just about to delete it when I came across this. Hopefully, there will be a fix soon, but they don’t seem to be in a hurry.
